Asante Kotoko coach Mariano Barreto refused to comment about his Kotoko future following reports that the Portuguese coach could leave at the end of the season.

Reports in the local media suggest that Kotoko could part ways with Barreto at the end of the season.

” I cannot talk about speculations. Speculation is speculation, that’s all. When we finish all the matches, we will take a breathing and then I can answer all the questions. But at this moment, I cannot talk about speculations” he told Nhyira FM

“I as a coach haven’t said I am leaving, the board and management have not said anything so I don’t want to respond to speculations that I am leaving at the end of the season” he added

Mariano Barreto’s job came under fire after Kotoko’s defeat against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak a few weeks ago, fans called for his sack and several reports suggested that he could be asked after failing to win the league title.

Mariano Barreto have won 11 of his 20 games at Asante Kotoko, lost 3, and registered 6 draws.
