late Joseph Aidoo goal wins it for Celta Vigo against Elche

In a tough match on Wednesday evening, Celta Vigo emerged victorious with a 1-0 win against Elche in the Spanish Primera La Liga, thanks to a late goal from Joseph Aidoo, the Black Stars defender.

Aidoo’s goal came in the dying moments of the game, as he headed in a cross from Franco Cervi, the Argentinian midfielder.

This win ended Celta’s run of four matches without a victory and extended their lead over the relegation zone to nine points.

Celta is now ranked 12th on the La Liga table with 39 points from 31 matches, while Elche is at the bottom and could face relegation in the next round.

Despite dominating the second half of the match, Celta had struggled to find the back of the net, making Aidoo’s goal even more crucial.

This was Aidoo’s third goal of the season in 30 appearances in the La Liga, a notable improvement from his previous three seasons, during which he failed to score.
