    Ghana’s Kwabena Owusu has won the  Hungarian League title with Ferencvaros with three games to go.



    Kwabena Owusu, a former Ghana U23 striker, has helped Ferencvaros TC win the Hungarian League title with three games remaining in the 2022-23 season.

    Ferencvaros secured the championship on Saturday by defeating Kisvarda FC 3-0 at the Groupama Arena in Budapest.

    Lorand Paszka, Krisztian Lisztes, and Samy Mmaee all scored in the second half, ensuring a comfortable victory for Ferencvaros.

    This marks Ferencvaros’ 34th Hungarian League title in history and their fifth consecutive championship. They will participate in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers next season.

    Owusu played in the match, starting for Ferencvaros before being replaced by Ryan Mmaee at the start of the second half.

    The 25-year-old Ghanaian signed with Ferencvaros in the winter transfer window from Qarabag FK in the Azerbaijani Premier League for a transfer fee of €500,000.

    Owusu has scored two goals in seven appearances for Ferencvaros in the Hungarian League this season.
