John Heitinga, the interim manager of Ajax, has announced that Kudus is set to make his injury return against AZ Alkmaar

John Heitinga, the interim manager of Ajax, has announced that Mohammed Kudus, their midfielder, will be eligible for selection in their upcoming game against AZ Alkmaar in the 31st round of the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.

Kudus has been out of action for the previous four games due to an injury he sustained during the Dutch Cup semi-final on April 9.

He has returned to training with the squad, but he missed the final against PSV Eindhoven due to a lack of match fitness.

Ajax lost to PSV in the final, and Heitinga stated that Kudus would need to train for a week to regain his fitness and be ready for the game against AZ Alkmaar.

Kudus has been a vital player for Ajax this season, contributing to a total of 20 goals and assists in all competitions.
