Kudus reunited with John Heitinga at West Ham

Mohammed Kudus has once again teamed up with his former coach, John Heitinga, at his new club, West Ham United. The 23-year-old midfielder is set to collaborate with Heitinga for the second time in his career as the Dutchman takes on the role of assistant coach at West Ham, alongside Mark Robson and Henry Newman.

Heitinga played a pivotal role in Kudus’ previous season, granting the attacking midfielder more playing time after the dismissal of Alfred Schreuder.

Under Heitinga’s guidance, Kudus flourished and nearly guided his team to a League and Cup double before suffering a late-season injury setback.

West Ham United officially announced the appointments of John Heitinga, Mark Robson, and Henry Newman as first-team assistants to manager David Moyes for the 2023/24 season.

They join the coaching staff alongside Billy McKinlay, Kevin Nolan, and goalkeeping coach Xavi Valero.

Meanwhile, Kudus is currently with the Ghanaian national team, preparing for their AFCON qualifier against the Central African Republic scheduled for Thursday.
