Kudakwashe Mahachi of  Medeama says the team is aiming to retain Ghana Premier League title

Medeama forward Kudakwashe Mahachi affirms that the club’s focus is on defending their Ghana Premier League championship title.

Medeama secured the top spot in the Ghanaian top-flight league last season, marking a momentous achievement for the club.

Despite a sluggish start to the current season, Mahachi, who has seen action in only one game for Medeama this season, expressed the team’s resolve to uphold their league title. He emphasized the significance of unity and mutual respect among club members.

“As I’ve mentioned before, being a foreign player, there’s a need to perform, so I’m not putting excessive pressure on myself,” Mahachi conveyed in an interview with the Medeama media team in anticipation of Thursday’s pivotal match against Nsoatreman.

“I believe that my team is capable of achieving our goals because we’re winning matches. Our mindset is geared toward defending our league title.”

“I hold my teammates, coaches, and everyone at Medeama in high regard, so if the coaches decide to have me start from the bench, I have no complaints!”

At present, the Mauve and Yellows occupy the sixth position in the standings with 13 points, and a victory against second-placed Nsoatreman would propel them to third place.
