Asante Kotoko beat bitter rivals King Faisal 3-0 in the first Kumasi derby of the season.

Asante Kotoko ensured they grabbed all three maximum points from their King Faisal in their match day four encounter in the GPL.

Steven Mukwala was unplayable as the Ugandan had a hand in all three goals scored.

Kotoko dominated the game from scratch as out-of-form King Faisal struggled to cope throughout the match.

Mukwala had been the center of attraction after missing so many glorious chances this season.

The Ugandan got his long-awaited debut goal in the GPL in the 10th minute, finishing a fantastic team-worked goal from close-range.

Captain of Kotoko, Samuel Boadu converted a penalty to double Kotoko’s lead after Mukwala was fouled in the box a few minutes after he scored the opener.

Mukwala assisted Nicholas Mensah to wrap things up for the porcupine warriors with a third goal.

Kotoko are now fifth in the league with a game in hand with King Faisal still bottom after four consecutive defeats.
