Kosta Matic admits, Hearts of Oak  were punished for their mistakes with an amazing goal from RTU.

RTU beat Hearts of oak in Tamale last night after 90 minutes of an end to end football.

Former Hearts of Oak player,  Abdul Manaf Umar  scored the only goal of the game with an amazing  strike from 20 meters in the 83rd minute.

Matic was left frustrated by his team’s failure to take their chances.

Hearts of Oak created many chances in both halves of the game but failed to find the back of the net.

Speaking after the game, coach Kosta Matic expressed his disappointment saying:  “When you don’t score three times, one against one with goalkeeper, second half from 2 meters. Then the opponents score from 20 meter.”

“They punish you for your chances, what you didn’t score.”

” Generally it was a good game, lot of running, lots of intensity, transitions, we created lots f chances today but when you do not score from two meters you mentally go down”

” we missed many chances and were punished with an amazing goal.”
