Ghana Black Stars defender Kingsley Schindler came from the bench to help his club Cologne secure a massive 1-2 victory against Leverkusen on Friday night in the Bundesliga.

Davie Selke’s first half brace was enough for the visitors to end Leverkusen’s unbeaten run.

Kingsley Schindler replaced Florian Kainz in the 65th minute and helped Cologne preserve their lead till the end of the game.

The newly capped Black Stars player had an opportunity to extend the lead for Cologne but saw his effort saved by Lukas Hredecky.

Cologne move to 10th in the Bundesliga and away from relegation scruffle.
