Kenpong Academy FC has been banned by GFA from playing their home games at the Swedro Sports Stadium With immediate effect, the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Committee has directed Kenpong Academy FC to temporarily stop using the Swedru Stadium as their home ground.

This measure has been taken as a result of regrettable occurrences that took place during the Match day 23 game between Kenpong FC and New Edubiase FC on April 17, 2023.

The ruling is consistent with Article 14(2) of the GFA Division One League Regulations, which specifies that “the GFA has the authority to close any league center if the security of clubs, match officials, or spectators is at risk.”

Therefore, the Competitions Department has been advised to follow the Division One League Regulations when choosing a location for the Club’s future home games.

It should be noted that this directive is not intended to affect the resolution of the matter that is currently being considered by the Disciplinary Committee.

The Committee has been entrusted with the responsibility of hearing the case in accordance with the applicable regulations.
