Karela United sign striker, Welbeck Takyi

Karela United has finalized the signing of striker Welbeck Takyi. The 22-year-old forward has penned a two-year agreement with Karela United, aiming to elevate the team’s performance within the Ghana Premier League.

Having previously represented Aduana Stars, Takyi brings both his seasoned expertise and scoring proficiency to Karela United.

His decision to switch clubs stems from the challenges he encountered during his tenure with Aduana Stars in Dormaa.

Takyi, who initially demonstrated his scoring capabilities with Bofoakwa Tano, left an indelible mark at Aduana Stars by scoring 20 goals in 24 matches in the Division One League. He is now poised for a new chapter with Karela United.

Currently positioned at the 15th spot on the league standings with 16 points from 16 matches, Karela United is hopeful that Takyi’s knack for finding the net will significantly bolster their league position.

Signing Takyi underscores Karela United’s strategic approach to fortifying their roster and mounting a competitive challenge in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.
