Kamaldeen Sulemana earns Premier League promotion with Southampton

Black Stars winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has achieved Premier League promotion with Southampton following a 1-0 victory over Leeds United in the Championship playoff final at Wembley.

Though he did not play in the match, Sulemana will compete in the top flight next season.

Adam Armstrong scored the decisive goal in the 24th minute, with an assist from William Smallbone.

Southampton joins Leicester City and Ipswich Town in earning promotion to the Premier League from the Championship.

This milestone makes Kamaldeen the second Ghanaian player to secure Premier League qualification this season, following Abdul Fatawu Issahaku’s promotion with Leicester City.

Kamaldeen  made 25 appearances and provided three assists for the Saints this season.
