Asante Kotoko captain Emmanuel Gyamfi revealed that the entire team are still high in spirit despite defeat against Hearts of Oak in Accra on Sunday.

The porcupines suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at the nation’s capital in matchweek 31 of the Ghana Premier League.

After the game, Gyamfi believes the league is not over and Kotoko can still win the league because “anything can happen”.

“We think it not over, we still have some games to go; just like we lost today, they can also lose or draw. So anything is possible” Gyamfi said after the game.

Mariano Barreto also agreed with Emmanuel Gyamfi’s statement after the game, he also believes there is always a chance Kotoko can get lucky.

“Anything is possible. Of course, it is more difficult for us because we are behind; we lost three points but we are not giving up” Barreto said.

“We have three more games, and that is nine points; it will be difficult for us and also difficult for Hearts” he added.

Asante Kotoko will host King Faisal in their next game as they will be looking to bounce bank from Sunday’s result.
