Interim head coach of King Faisal, Godwin Ablordey has dedicated his first win to ex boss Jimmy Cobblah.

King Faisal saw all three points in their first game after sacking head coach Jimmy Cobblah.

Interim coach Ablordey took charge in the team’s win over Karela.

King Faisal conceded the first goal of the match in the 41st minutes when Emmanuel Owusu Boakyeput Karela ahead.

Samuel Kusi eqaulised for King Faisal just two minutes before half time.

Abdul Latif put King Faisal in the lead in the 61st minutes with the home side having absolute control of the game.

Bature put King Faisal up 3-1 as they cruised to victory. Nketiah pulled one back for Karela but it was not enough to stop King Faisal from picking all three points.

Ablordey dedicated the win to former coach Jimmy Cobblah.

Speaking to StarTimes, he said : “Let me acknowledge my coach Jimmy Cobblah. He is not here but all that we are doing we worked with him.”

“I took the team just three, four days and we’ve won today so I’m not going to take the credit. I’m going to dedicate this game to Jimmy Cobblah because he has worked a lot here.”

“I appreciate what he has done and I have learnt a lot from him. Coach, this is your game. I have won this game for you so be happy wherever you are.”
