Athletic Bilbao’s Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams once again showcased his goal-scoring prowess, securing a crucial point for his team in a Monday night encounter against Girona.

Williams’ exceptional performance adds to his standout season with the Basque club.

The match, hosted at the Estadio Municipal de Montilivi, witnessed Williams playing the entire 90 minutes, delivering an outstanding display that culminated in a brilliant goal in the 67th minute, assisted by Oihan Sancet.

Before Williams’ goal, Girona had taken the lead with Viktor Tsygankov’s goal in the 55th minute.

Despite both teams actively seeking a winner, neither could capitalize on the chances created, resulting in a draw at the final whistle.

Following this game, Williams now has six goals and three assists from 14 appearances in La Liga this season, reaffirming his pivotal role in Athletic Bilbao’s campaign.

Bilbao currently sits in fifth place and is making a determined effort to secure European football for the next season.
