CK Akonnor’s son Charles Jesaja has revealed that he plans to play for the Ghana Black Stars in the future and cant wait to make Ghanaians proud.

The 21-year-old trained in Germany for the better part of his career, and represented Germany from U15 to U19, but has revealed he will not hesitate to play for Ghana if he receives the call up to the national team.

“There’s no doubt that I’ll like to play for Ghana. I’ll go direct. When they call me, I’ll go direct. You know I was born and raised in Germany but I’m a black man. I’m from Ghana, so I have this Ghana heart still in me. I just feel attached although I wasn’t there for a long time. But when they’ll call me, I’ll go direct because I want to make the people there proud.” he told OmaSports

The striker revealed that a lot of his friends with Ghanaian roots will also love to play for Ghana even if they spent little or no time in the country.

“Most of my guys would like to play for Ghana. We’ve had that conversation before and most of them say Ghana. I think when the chance comes for them also, they’ll play for Ghana.”

Charles Jesaja Herrmann is currently on loan at Belgian club K.V. Kortrijk from Wolfsburg.
