Hasmal lost to Mamelodi Sundowns in the finals of the CAF Women’s Champions League last month, in Cairo,Egypt.

“There was no prize money in the CAF Women’s CL. We paid for our flight. They only accommodated us & meals. During the tourney, we asked if there is prize money but the CAF officials told us they’ll get back to us. We’ve not heard from them again,” Basigi told Angel FM.

The former Black Princess Coach  who led Hasaacas Ladies to an unprecedented 4 trophies in the season also made an astonishing revelation concerning his salary at the club.

“I have been coaching Hasaacas Ladies for 18 years. I’m the first coach of the team when it was formed in June 2003. I have coached all these years without a salary. My joy is seeing a lot of young girls transforming their lives through football,” he said.

Hasaacas Ladies are champions of Ghana, FA Cup winners, WAFU Zone B title holders, Super Cup and First Lady’s Cup victors.
