Henry Addo scores brace in MSK Zilina win over Ruzomberok.

In the opening match of the 2023-24 season on Sunday evening, young Ghanaian player Henry Addo had an outstanding performance for MSK Zilina, scoring two goals to secure a convincing 3-1 victory over MFK Ruzomberok at the MSK Zilina Stadium.

After Ruzomberok’s midfielder Kristof Domonkos leveled the game early in the second half, the 20-year-old Ghanaian forward, with a precise shot, swiftly put Zilina back in the lead at the 70th-minute mark, thanks to an assist from Slovakia international Patrik Ilko.

The win was sealed by teenage midfielder Mario Sauer, who came off the bench and found the net with only seven minutes left in the match.

Another young talent from Ghana, Samuel Gidi, also played a part in Zilina’s triumph, featuring for 63 minutes before being substituted with Sauer. Zilina’s victory sets a promising start for their campaign in the new season.
