    Angry fans of Accra Hearts of Oak refused to allow some members of their  management board leave the stadium after confederations cup exit.


    The team failed to advance into the next round of the CAF Confederations Cup after losing 3-1 on aggregate to As Bamako.

    The Phobians have endured a difficult start to the season having already parted ways with coach Samuel Boadu just before the commencement of the CAF Confederations Cup.

    Odotei and Akanbi have been under serious pressure from the fans as they have been accused of being the main reason for the dismissal of Samuel Boadu.

    Supporters of the club hold divergent views as to why things are not going smoothly for the club however, numerous fans directed their anger at the two board members of the club after the club failed to advance to the next stage of the Confederations Cup.

    The police ensured that, Odotei and Alhaji Akanbi were held under tight security at the stadium as angry fans waited for them after the game.

    Reports indicate that, some section of the fans also deflated the cars of the two board members after the match.
