Hearts of Oak respond to FIFA ruling regarding dispute with ex coach, Slavko Matic.

Hearts of Oak have released a statement addressing FIFA’s decision regarding the case filed against the club by their former coach, Slavko Matic.

Matic, who took over as a replacement for Samuel Boadu last season, was compelled to leave the club midway through the campaign due to unsatisfactory results and discontent among fans.

In their official response, Hearts of Oak acknowledged that FIFA has instructed them to pay $14,002 to Matic.

This sum encompasses unpaid wages, prorated payments, reimbursable expenses, and compensation for a two-month breach of contract.

The breach of contract arose when Matic was unable to conduct training sessions due to interference from supporters.

The club emphasized that all other claims made by Matic were dismissed by FIFA, aligning with the stance taken by Hearts of Oak.

They also clarified that they had already taken the initiative to settle the agreed amount with Matic several weeks ago, except for any undisclosed loans he might have taken during his tenure.

Looking ahead, Hearts of Oak have now referred the matter to their legal team for further action.

Below is a copy of the club’s statement released regarding the issue.
