3Head coach of Nsoatreman FC, Mumuni Abubakar bemoans officiating cost his side the game against Hearts of Oak.

The Phobians scored first in the  15 minute thanks to Prince Ofori’s unfortunate own goal.

Yaw Baafi then added another goal in the 66th minute to double their lead, but Nsoatreman managed to score through Samuel Ofori to cut the deficit and create a tense ending to the game.

Later on, the visitors were initially awarded a penalty for Addo Sowah’s handball, but after consulting his assistant, referee Samena changed his mind. This decision did not sit well with Mumuni.

Mumuni strongly believes that this decision cost them the chance to earn a point while playing away from home.

“Speaking to Star Times, He said:  “The score line shouldn’t have been where it is had it not been poor officiating. I think the referee is not on top of his game because the penalty he whistled for”

“who compelled him to whistle for the penalty? What did he see and he whistled? What happened he has to confide in the fourth referee?”

“I think some of these things have to stop. He has thwarted our effort. Officiating has thwarted our effort. That is the summary of the game.”

The newly promoted team in the premier league is currently occupying the 16th position in the league standings with 31 points, which puts them in the relegation zone. Their upcoming game will be played at home, where they will face King Faisal.
