    Harrison Afful leaves Charlotte FC after two seasons with MLS side




    Charlotte FC has decided not to renew Harrison Afful’s contract for the 2024 season, signaling the end of his playing tenure with the club.

    In an announcement on Monday, October 30, 2023, the team disclosed that the contract options for six players, including the Ghanaian international, were not extended.

    The list also comprised McKinze Gaines, Chris Hegardt, Pablo Sisniega, Jan Sobocinski, and Adrian Zendejas. Afful, who is currently 37 years old, had made 15 league appearances for the North Carolina team in his second season with them.

    Despite this development, the versatile wing back expresses his desire to continue playing before retiring from the sport.
