GPL Match Report: Laud Martey stars in Elmina Sharks draw against WAFA SC

Elmina Sharks goalkeeper Laud Martey was on fine form as his side managed to steal a point from their Ghana Premier League game against WAFA SC on Sunday.

The game started well with both sides getting opportunities to score but neither team could find the back of the net until the 41st minute when Justice Mensash’s long-range effort was deflected into the net to give the home side the lead.

WAFA SC were much better in the second half and their hard work paid off in the 55th minute when Daniel Agbloe hit the bar before cutting the ball back for Augustine Boakye to score the equalizer.

Elmina Sharks were cautious after the equalizer; their defensive tactics saw their goalkeeper Laud Martey make numerous saves to make sure they stop the visitors from taking the lead.

Elmina Sharks are currently sitting at the 8th position on the Ghana Premier League table with three points from three games while WAFA SC are sitting in the 5th position with four points.
