GPL Match Report: Bechem United sneak past Karela to maintain unbeaten record

Bechem United continue their unbeaten run after sealing a 2-1 win against Karela United on Friday at the Bechem Fosu Gyeabour Park in Bechem.

Stephen Owusu opened the scoring just a minute into the second half to put his side in front after connecting with a fine delivery from Clinton Duodo.

Karela United restored parity 10 minutes later through Diawisie Taylor who pounced on a loose ball to level things at the park.

The home side took the lead in the 90th minute through Listowell Amankona who taps home a rebound from the Karela goalkeeper to give his side all three points.

Bechem United are now levelled on points (11) with Karela United but have played only five games compared to Karela’s six.

Karela United are still on top of the Ghana Premier League table but might lose their spot depending on the outcome of Ashantigold’s game against Eleven Wonders.
