GPL Match Preview: Ashantigold vs Asante Kotoko

Ashanti Gold will welcome Kumasi Asante Kotoko in a fearful Regional clash in the Ghana premier league matchday 11 at the Lan Clay Stadium at Obuasi.

The Miners who suffered a 5-2 humiliating defeat in the hands of relegated threatening team Legon Cites will gear up against Kotoko who also painfully suffered 1-0 defeat to 2017 league champions Aduana Stars.

Yaw Annor will look to continue with his fine form after bagging a brace in defeat against Legon Cities. Ashantigold will be looking to bounce back from the defeat when they host Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

Johnson Smith suffered his first Ghana Premier League defeat since he took over from Maxwell Konadu. Asante Kotoko will also be looking to put the past behind them when they travel to face Ashantigold in Obuasi.

Asante Kotoko will play without the services of Patrick Asmah and Habib Mohammed, both players were injured against Aduana and won’t make the trip to Obuasi.

Ashantigold will face Kotoko without the services of Appiah McCarthy who is out injured for several weeks.

The “Miners” are currently 3rd on the league table whiles the ” Porcupine worries ” are also 5th on the league table.
