    GHPL Week 3: Aduana, Ashgold maintain perfect start, Hearts win, Kotoko lose

    The Ghana Premier League Game Week 3 continued on Sunday as fans trooped in various venues to watch their teams play.




    Here are the results of Match Week 3 of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season:

    Hearts Of Oak 2-1 Ebusua Dwarfs

    Hearts of Oak registered their first win of the season after piping Ebusua Dwarfs at the Accra Sports Stadium, thanks to two free-kick goals from Joseph Esso and Kofi Kordzi. Ebusua Dwarfs grabbed a consolation through Hammond Albert.

    Hearts of Oak will travel to Sogakope to face WAFA in the mid-week fixture while Ebusua Dwarfs will host Liberty Professionals.

    Bechem United 1-0 Accra Great Olympics

    Accra Great Olympics are yet to secure a point in the Ghana Premier League after suffering their third defeat in a row against Bechem United.

    Prince Kwabena Adu scored the only goal of the game to move his team to 7th position on the Ghana Premier League table.

    Bechem will face King Faisal in their next game while Accra Great Olympics will welcome Karela United at the Accra Sports Stadium.

    Asante Kotoko 0-1 Berekum Chelsea

    Asante Kotoko suffered a shocking defeat at home against Berekum Chelsea in a game marred by several controversies.

    Kofi Owusu’s first-half goal secured all three points for the visiting team.

    Empem Dacosta was controversially sent off for the home side as the away team held on to claim all three points.

    Asante Kotoko will travel to face Medeama in the mid-week fixture while Berekum Chelsea will welcome Dreams FC.

    Ashantigold 2-0 Eleven Wonders

    Ashantigold maintained their fine start to the 2019/2020 season after winning their third game in a row.

    Emmanuel Owusu and Mark Agyekum were on target for the home side as they continue their perfect start to the Premier League season.

    Eleven Wonders are yet to register a point this season and will be looking to get a positive result when they welcome Aduana Stars in their mid-week fixture.

    Ashantigold will travel to Accra to face Legon Cities and will be looking to extend their winning run.

    Aduana Stars 2-1 King Faisal FC

    Mohammed Yahaya’s brace helped Aduana maintain their perfect start to the season against King Faisal.

    Aduana Stars are currently on top of the Ghana Premier League table with three wins in three games.

    King Faisal are yet to register a single point in the Ghana Premier League after losing their first three games.

    Aduana Stars will travel to face Eleven Wonders while King Faisal will host Bechem United in the mid-week fixture.

    Dreams FC 0-0 Legen Cities

    Dreams FC and Legon Cities shared Spoils on Sunday in Dawu.

    Dreams FC find themselves 4th in the table while Legon Cities find themselves 13th after managing two points from their first three games.

    Legon Cities will host Ashantigold while Dreams FC will travel to face Berekum Chelsea in the mid-week fixture.

    Elmina Sharks 0-0 WAFA SC

    Elmina Sharks were held at home by WAFA SC on Sunday at Elmina.

    WAFA failed to continue their fine run after winning their first two games, they currently find themselves sitting on the 5th position on the Ghana Premier League table.

    WAFA will host Hearts of Oak in their next game while Elmina will travel to face Inter Allies.

    Karela United 2-1 Inter Allies

    Karela United registered their first win of the season after snatching all three points against Inter Allies in Tarkwa.

    Franklin Osei’s opener was cancelled by Victorien Adebayor’s penalty kick before Ofusu Abega scored in injury time to give Karela all three points.

    Karela United will travel to face Accra Great Olympics while Inter Allies will host Elmina Sharks in the mid-week fixture.
