Ghana’s Daniel-Kofi Kyereh is edging closer to a return following a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury.

SC Freiburg forward Daniel-Kofi Kyereh is nearing a return to competitive football after recovering from a second anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.

The Ghanaian player has been out of action since the 2022/23 Bundesliga season but is now focusing on key aspects of his rehabilitation, including jumping, speed, and agility training, to prepare for the upcoming 2024/25 season.

Despite the challenges, Kyereh remains optimistic and determined, with his recovery journey even taking him to Barcelona for a phase of his rehabilitation.

Kyereh’s promising start at SC Freiburg, where he scored two goals in 12 appearances during the 2022/23 Bundesliga season, has heightened expectations for his return.

His absence has also been felt in the Ghanaian national team, the Black Stars, where he played a significant role in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the 2022 World Cup.

However, setbacks in his recovery process have delayed his return to action. With Kyereh now in the final stages of his rehabilitation, there is optimism that he will soon be back on the pitch, showcasing his dynamic playing style and creative abilities, much to the delight of fans.
