Ghana Premier League: Legon Cities humble WAFA SC in Accra

Legon Cities registered a convincing 4-1 victory against West African Football Academy on Friday night at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Cephas Doku scored twice in a thrilling night at the Accra Sports Stadium as Legon Cities grab their fourth win of the season.

WAFA who won Ashgold 6-1 last week were certainly not their best on Friday night.

Cephas Doku opened the scoring in the 25th minute after connecting brilliantly with Latif Abubakar to put his team in front.

WAFA SC restored parity just three minutes before halftime through Sampson Agyapong who scored a spectacular free-kick.

Ebenezer Nii Addy gave Legon Cities the lead in the 56th minute, Cephas Doku scored a third four minutes later to make the scoreline 3-1.

Fadi Yusif scored Legon Cities’ fourth goal in the 82nd minute.

Richard Danso was sent off n the 90th minute and WAFA SC finished the game with ten men.

The win sees Legon Cities move to 11th position on the table while WAFA remains on the 6th position.
