Ghana Premier League: Kotoko overcome Karela United to climb atop

Asante Kotoko managed a 1-0 win against Karela United at the Akoon Park on Friday in the Match Week 13 of the Ghana Premier League.

William Opoku’s goal was the only thing that separated both teams after 90 minutes in Tarkwa.

The striker scored an early goal after receiving a flick pass from Emmanuel Gyamfi to put the ball under the legs of the keeper just 2 minutes into the game.

Karela fought did all they could to get back into the game but were unsuccessful. Emmanuel Keyeke and Diawisie Taylor came close to scoring but were denied by Kwame Baah on several occasions.

The win sees Asante Kotoko move up to the Ghana Premier League table for the first time this season.
