Ghana Premier League: Hearts held by Elmina Sharks
Hearts of Oak were held by Elmina Sharks at home, both teams settled for a 1-1 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium in Match Week 12 of the Ghana Premier League.
Elmina Sharks took the lead in the 25th minute, Dennis Mensah scored with a powerful volley finish to put his team in front.
Hearts of Oak, however, equalized just a few minutes before halftime through Kofi Kordzi who heads home a perfectly crossed corner to restore parity.
Both teams had chances to take the lead in the second half but failed to do so as they settled for a draw after the final whistle of the game.
Hearts of Oak are currently 9th on the table while Elmina Sharks sits in the 7th position.
