It was reported recently that Ghana Football would be back after a meeting between the Ghana League Clubs and the Normalization Committee but recent reports however indicate otherwise.

The general manager of Berekum Chelsea, Nana Oduro Sarfo in an interview said this was not accurately true. According to him the league clubs did not meet with the Normalization Committee as was circulating in the media.

BREAKING: Ghana football to return in January 2019

“I have seen the news. I don’t know when they met. I learnt they met with the clubs yesterday. They didn’t meet us yesterday but we met them sometime ago and we presented a tournament proposal to them.” he said.

“They are supposed to give us the okay on that proposal so we can go and look for our sponsors. But I don’t think it is true what is being said that football resumes in January”. he added.

The news has now placed a bit of confusion as to when actually the league will start leaving many avid football fans having to wait a little longer for local football to return in Ghana since Anas’ “number 12” expose back in June.
