    Ghana head coach, Otto Addo is hopeful the team will progress to the round of 16.


    The Black Stars will play  Portugal at the Stadium 974 in Doha today and head coach, Otto Addo is confident ahead of the clash.

    Ghana lost to Portugal in 2014 and will look to make amends for the loss inthe group opener today.

    Otto Addo strongly believes the team is ready to battle for glory in Qatar.

    “We hope to make it to the round of 16. We have a good squad and can beat anyone in our group,” Addo told the media before the opening game on Thursday.

    “We have a lot of new people, also because they have changed nationalities. It’s important that we grow together as a team and that the players get to know my ideas.”

    Ghana will play Portugal today then South Korea three days time and a revenge clash against Uruguay on December 2, 2022.
