Matchday Four of the U15 Girls Regional Colts League in the Greater Accra Region delivered another exciting round of fixtures, with Epiphany Next Gen and Cabfix Ladies maintaining their perfect starts to the competition.
In Group A, Epiphany Next Gen continued their impressive run with a narrow 1–0 victory over Accra Ladyz, moving to 12 points from four matches to remain top of the group. Ideal Ladies also picked up an important result, edging Ridge City Women 1–0 to move to four points, while Ridge City remain on six points. Accra Ladyz, meanwhile, stay on one point after suffering another defeat.
Over in Group B, Cabfix Ladies delivered the most dominant performance of the day with a 9–0 demolition of Ga West Ladies, a repeat of their opening day scoreline against the same opponents. The emphatic victory takes Cabfix Ladies to 12 points, keeping them top of the group with a perfect record after four matches. Dangme South also secured an important 2–0 win over Rock Ladies, moving to seven points, while Rock remain on four points and Ga West are yet to record a point in the competition.
Cabfix Ladies captain Jessica Benni once again stole the spotlight, scoring four goals on Matchday Four to take her tally to 12 goals in the competition. She had earlier netted five goals on Matchday One, continuing her remarkable scoring form. Teammates Jessica Dzamesi and Rose Amakie Sebbi also contributed two goals each in the match, taking their individual tallies to six goals apiece.
Cabfix Ladies were without their main captain and goalkeeper Belinda Maku Aklie, who is currently in camp with the Ghana U-17 Women’s National Team preparing for a FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Togo in April.
With two more matches remaining, Epiphany Next Gen and Cabfix Ladies lead Group A and Group B respectively, setting up what could be an exciting final between the two group winners.
