Former Manchester United player says he is a Kotoko fan

Bayer Leverkusen defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah says he supports Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.

The Dutch-born Ghanaian revealed being a fan of the Porcupine Warriors in a tradition in his family.

“I support Asante Kotoko even though I haven’t followed Ghana football that much,” he told Happy Sports.

“Asante Kotoko is a tradition for the family. Hopefully, I will now follow some games in the Ghana Premier League,” he added.

The Netherlands center is in Ghana for holidays after failing to make Holland manager Frank de Boer’s team for Euro 2020.

Fosu-Mensah left Manchester United in January after five years in England to sign for German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

He made seven appearances for the club before the 2020/21 came to an end.
