Ghana Black Stars International Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has signed a new 5-year contract with Portuguese side  Sporting CP, the club announced on Wednesday evening.

The 18-year old penned a new contract just a week after helping Ghana to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after overcoming Nigeria in Abuja.

Speaking after signing the contract, Fatawu says he is happy with his new club  and also talked about his attributes on the pitch.

“I’m very happy to be here, it’s fantastic. They welcomed me very well”, he began by telling Jornal Sporting and Sporting TV .

About his role on the pitch, Fatawu explained that he plays “at a winger and also an attacking midfielder”. “I really enjoy shooting, especially from afar,” he added.

Fatawu Issahaku was previously on loan at Dreams FC but moved back to Portugal in January.
