Fatawu Issahaku clinches English Championship title with Leicester City.

Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku secured his first club career trophy by aiding Leicester City in claiming the English Championship title.

The 20-year-old contributed with an assist during a 3-0 triumph against Preston North End, which sealed the championship for the Premier League-bound team.

Seasoned forward Jamie Vardy scored twice, while Kasey McAteer scored from a cross delivered by Issahaku at Deepdale Stadium.

The young player, on loan from Sporting Lisbon, has been in remarkable form since arriving in England last summer, scoring several league goals and providing 13 assists.

Leicester City is expected to make his loan deal permanent, having fulfilled the conditions, including participating in over 60% of matches.

Issahaku made the move to Europe at 17 to join the Portuguese club but struggled to secure regular playing time, leading to his loan departure after being deemed surplus to requirements by manager Ruben Amorim.
