Asante Kotoko are yet to open talks with former Ashantigold midfielder Richard Djodi, Sahara Football understands.

The Ivorian midfielder is in search of a new club after his contract with Ashantigold expired last month.

There are reports suggesting that Kotoko are interested in signing the player, other reports stated that the player is on the verge of joining the club but Richard Djodi (while talking to Sahara Football) stated that Kotoko are yet to contact him or his agent.

“No I have not signed for Kotoko, I traveled to my country to visit my family. If I am part of their project, they will contact me but I hope it won’t be late” Djodi said

When asked if he is interested in joining the Porcupines:

“If I am really part of their project, I will agree to join the club” he added.

Asante Kotoko have officially announced three signings in the ongoing transfer window as they prepare for the CAF Champions League Campaign.
