    Ex Hearts of Oak star Esme Mends assumes role as Club Licensing Manager



    Esme Mends,  has been appointed as the Club Licensing Manager and administrative assistant to the National Teams Department.

    Mends, who retired recently after a 12-year career, takes over from Julius Ben Emunah, who has transitioned to lead the Competitions Department.

    Known for his successful stint with Hearts of Oak, where he clinched the league title in 2009, Mends initially played for Real Sportive in Tema.

    After his tenure in Ghana, Mends extended his career abroad, featuring for clubs in Oman and South Africa before retiring in 2016.

    Besides his football career, Mends is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Sports Coaching at the University of Education at Winneba.

    His extensive experience both on and off the field makes him well-suited for his new role in Ghanaian football administration.
