New Asante Kotoko midfielder, Serge Zeze was adjudged as the Nasco player of the match in the team’s 2:1 victory over Nsoatreman FC.

The former Asec Mimosa man put up a splendid performance to help Asante Kotoko earn their first win of the season.  The porcupine warriors drew in their opening encounter against bitter rivals, Hearts of Oak.

Zeze lasted for 90 minutes and was instrumental as his team battled to secure their first home win of the season. His great positional and tactical play weakened the Nsoatreman midfield and created spaces for Kotoko.

His penetrative passes helped Kotoko to launch so many brilliant attacks however, they were unable to finish most of the chances created.

Fans cheered and sang praises for Zeze after the game and he danced with joy. Fans are very positive about Zeze and have asked for patience as there is more to come from him.

Matchday four will see Kotoko play King Faisal, who are without a win so far this season. They have lost their first three opening games and desperately searching for a win.
