Emmanuel Lomotey scores first league for Ethnikos Achnas in Cyprus.

In an exhilarating match on Monday night, Emmanuel Lomotey netted his first goal for newly joined Ethnikos Achnas in the Cypriot Cyta Championship.

The 25-year-old midfielder found the back of the net to level the score for his team, as they managed to rally from a deficit and settle for a 5-5 draw against AEK Larnaca in the second game of the season.

AEK’s offensive was led by Spanish striker Fran Sol, who scored an impressive four out of their five goals, including one from the penalty spot. Trichovski Ivan, a forward from North Macedonia, contributed the remaining goal.

Ethnikos’ side witnessed a standout performance from former Cyprus international Marios Ilia, who secured a hat-trick, and Patryk Lipski, who also contributed a goal.

Lomotey’s pivotal equalizer arrived with just four minutes remaining in the match, ultimately securing a crucial point for Ethnikos in their thrilling 5-5 draw at the AEK Arena.

This marked the Ghanaian player’s second competitive start for Ethnikos, following his loan move from Swedish club Malmo FF, which will keep him with the team until the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.
