Ghana’s Emmanuel Boateng scored the only goal as Rio Ave earned a hard fought victory over Boavista in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

Boateng has now scored  four goals in eight matches since returning to Portugal after moving from the Chinese Super League.

Boateng has been in a very good shape after his return to Rio Ave, earning them some good points.

The Ghanaian striker missed out on the provisional 55 man list coach Otto Addo presented last week.

His Ghanaian compatriot Abdul Aziz Yakubu also missed out on a call up even though he is on some wild form.

The last time Boateng  played for the Black Stars was in March 2021 in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.
