Ghana’s Emmanuel Boateng found the back of the net for Rio Ave in the Portuguese Liga during their triumph over Portimonense SC on Sunday.

Following a closely contested first half, Boateng broke the deadlock nine minutes into the second half, connecting with a pass from defender Costinha.

Boateng played a key role in the second goal, providing the assist for experienced forward Ze Manuel in the 89th minute, propelling Rio Ave out of the relegation zone.

With this win, the Ghanaian international has increased his tally to four goals and two assists in 12 appearances in the 2023-24 campaign. Boateng has demonstrated his goal-scoring prowess with three goals in his last four matches for Rio Ave in the Portuguese top-flight.
