Uruguay captain Diego Godin has declared the match against Ghana as a final.

Uruguay are facing elimination from the World Cup, having failed to win any games yet.

They have just a point after drawing with Korea in their opener and losing to Portugal in their second group H match.

Captain of the side took to his Instagram to call for support from their fans and whole team.

“We have one final left!!! Time to be all together, work, believe and have courage!!! I invite each Uruguayan to push and send good energy from wherever they are, to qualify!!,” Godin wrote on Instagram.

The last time Uruguay played Ghana was 12 years with the match ending in so much controversy after a deliberate Suarez handball prevented Ghana from winning the match.

The resulting penalty was missed by Asamoah Gyan with Uruguay going on to win on penalties to advance to the semi-finals of the 2010 World Cup.

This match promises to be a great match by all standards.
