Daniel Opare has signed for Belgium Jupiler Pro League side, RFC Seraing on a one-and-half year deal as a free agent.

The 5ft, 8in fullback has been clubless since leaving Zulte-Waregem late 2021.

The club after struggling in the first round of the 2021/22 Belgian top-flight league season is dealing with relegation survival hence bringing in ex Ghana U20 star after successful talks.

“Our club is happy to announce the signing of Daniel OPARE.

“Born on October 18, 1990, Daniel can boast of a magnificent career, between his stints at Real Madrid, Porto, Standard de Liège, Besiktas Istanbul, Augsburg, Antwerp or, recently, Zulte-Waregem.

“Free of contract, Daniel had trained with our group during the month of December, to the general satisfaction,” RFC Seraing said in a statement on Wednesday afternoon.

The experienced right-back has been handed the Number 40 jersey at RFC Seraing and will have a vital role to play for the team in the second round of the 2021/22 Belgian Jupiler Pro League season.
