CR Belouizdad arrive in Ghana for CAFCL clash with Medeama.

Algerian champions CR Belouizdad have arrived in Ghana for their upcoming CAF Champions League second group game against Medeama SC scheduled for this Friday.

The Algerian team landed yesterday at the Kotoka International Airport at approximately 15:40 GMT and  spent the night in Accra at IBIS Hotel. Upon arrival, they were warmly welcomed by representatives of the Algerian Embassy in Ghana.

This morning, Belouizdad will proceed to Kumasi, the match venue, and stay in the vicinity ahead of the game.

The clash is slated to take place at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, December 1, 2023, with the kickoff scheduled for 16:00 GMT.

Belouizdad has brought a 24-man squad, featuring former Algeria international goalkeeper and 2019 AFCON winner Rais M’Bolhi, who is returning to the team for this fixture.

Marcos Paqueta’s squad secured an impressive 3-0 victory against Tanzanian champions Young Africans SC in their previous game in Algiers last Friday.

Meanwhile, Medeama is aiming for recovery after suffering a 3-0 defeat at the hands of defending champions Al Ahly SC. They hope to bounce back in Friday’s encounter against Belouizdad.
