    Coach Ibrahim Tanko invites 22 Players for U-23 AFCON Training Camp.



    Ibrahim Tanko, the coach of the Black Meteors, has revealed a roster of 22 players who will participate in a training camp starting on Tuesday, May 23, at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Prampram, Ghana.

    The purpose of the training camp is to prepare for the upcoming U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, which is slated to occur in June.

    The chosen players have been selected from teams in the Ghana Premier League, as well as a few lower-tier clubs in Ghana. They have been instructed to arrive at 3 pm on Tuesday to commence their preparations for the tournament.

    The Black Meteors have been placed in Group A alongside Morocco, Guinea, and Congo for the upcoming tournament.

    This competition serves as a qualifying event for the next Olympics, which will be hosted in Paris, France. Only the top three teams from the U-23 AFCON will earn the opportunity to participate in this esteemed event.

    The U-23 AFCON is scheduled to kick off on June 24 in Morocco, with the final match set for July 8. The Black Meteors have their sights set on performing well in order to secure their spot at the Olympic Games in Paris.

    This platform would provide them with a global stage to showcase their skills and abilities.
