Technical adviser to the Black stars, Chris Hughton has expressed his absolute believe in the team and the whole coaching staff ahead of the world cup.

The ex Newcastle United, Norwich City and Brighton & Hove Albion manager in an interview with Daily Mail expressed his absolute believe in the Black Stars and the technical team in the upcoming world cup.

Hughton indicated that, even though Ghana is the lowest-seeded team in the tournament, the team is highly motivated to deliver and make the nation proud.

He said he is very confident in the team but is being very realistic as he gives an honest verdict on the team.

“It is difficult in a way, Im confident in the squad and the coaching staff, but part of my role should be to be realistic. Not to dampen expectations but to speak honestly”.

Talking about the technical team, Hughton explained that, he is very confident in the work put in by head coach, Otto Addo and the entire technical staff.

“One thing Im confident of is the work Otto and the technical staff have put in, this team will be very well prepared and the players will give everything.”

The first match for the Black Stars will be against Portugal on the 24th of  November, followed by South Korea on November 28 and Uruguay on December 2.

The last time Ghana qualified from the group stages of the world cup was back in 2010 and it is the hope of all Ghanaians that, the team can replicate the fantastic form of 2010.
