CEO of Karela United, Elloeny Amande explains club’s move to Tamale.

Karela United Chief Executive Elloeny Amande has shed light on the club’s decision to relocate to Tamale.

After being acquired by politician Haruna Iddrisu, Karela United has moved its home base from CAM Park in Ainyinase, where they had been stationed for a decade, to Tamale.

Amande clarified that the shift to Tamale was a strategic choice driven by Iddrisu, who serves as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tamale Central Constituency.

“Transferring Karela to Tamale was a strategic move by Mr. Iddrisu, who is not only the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tamale Central Constituency but also the owner of Division One side, Steadfast FC, also based in Tamale,” Amande explained to Graphic Sports X-Space Dialogue.

“He believed that bringing both clubs to the same city would enable them to pool resources more effectively compared to when they were located in two different regions that were far apart,” he further elaborated.
