Asante Kotoko have qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup group stages after completing the double over Coton Sport of Cameroon following a 2-1 victory in Kumasi on Sunday.

Kotoko came out victorious in the first leg where they grabbed a 3-2 win in Yaounde, and have now made sure they finished the job in Kumasi.

Porcupines captain Amos Frimpong opened the scoring for his side through a well taken penalty kick in the first half. Maxwell Baakoh added a second goal before Sali scored a consolation goal for the visitors.

Asante Kotoko have now qualified for the group stages for the first time since 2008.
