The host of the 2019 AFCON will be announced on Tuesday by The Confederation of African Football at the Senegalese capital in Dakar.

Cameroon were stripped of the rights to host the prestigious competition last year November due to late preparations.

South Africa interested in hosting the 2019 ACON

Egypt and South Africa submitted a formal bid to CAF to host the competition.

The successful bidder for this year’s finals will have just six months to prepare for the 24-team finals, which are scheduled to run between 15 June and 13 July.

The announcement on Tuesday will take place in the Senegalese capital Dakar, which will host CaF’s annual awards ceremony later in the day.
